Edge to Cloud Appliance

Relatech CXS UniCOM

CXS UniCOM is an edge-to-cloud infrastructure consisting of the CXS UniCOM edge device and the CXS UniCOM communication server running in the cloud enabling the Ignition Platform (or any OPC client) to access data in remote locations.

The edge device with an integrated network scanner

• Build your application remotely in the cloud from on-premise network information

• Access real-time data

• Access device alarms (R2)

• Access device log buffers (R2)

• Minimal configuration

• Multi protocol support (SW Plug Ins)

• Local on-premise control via

Features and Benefits

Easy installation and deployment

The CXS UniCOM edge device is based on node.js and Node-RED – a highly scalable platform independent open source system. The CXS UniCOM edge device can be configured as an appliance to reduce IT administration in unsecure zones. As an appliance it only needs minimal settings to start operations. Configuration as well as extracting network scan results and real time data acquisition can be applied remotely.

Unified data access

CXS UniCOM provides fully transparent and efficient data access to multiple locations. Device data is locally acquired through multiple protocols and published to the cloud in a unified data stream.

Rapid Application Development

The CXS UniCOM edge device incorporates the same scanning and discovery engines as the ConneXSoft CXS Application Generators. This enables rapid application development remotely saving tremendous engineering costs. Supervisory systems do not need to adapt to specific cloud communication services. The CXS UniCOM server publishes data via industry standards like OPC. Native alarm provider and historian provider components deeply integrate into the Ignition Platform.

Security

The CXS UniCOM edge device uses different LAN ports to physically separate cloud connections from local networks. Data payloads are fully AES 256 encrypted even when transported inside secure channels.
